God-Slaying Sacred Spear

God-Slaying Sacred Spear (神殺しの聖槍) is a star rush urgent mission running from 22/11/17 to 07/12/17.

This event coincides with Millennium War Aigis's 4th Anniversary, and a new Prince Title will be awarded upon clearing the penultimate mission of this event. This event will also be revived regularly.

Story Summary

In preparation for the inevitable battle with the malevolent goddess Keraunos, Dark Knight Commander Decius seeks the Prince's help in obtaining the legendary weapon Gungnir, said to possess enough power to slay even the mightiest of gods.

Upon arriving at the pyramid said to house the sacred treasure, they encounter Nephty, whom they recognise as a follower of Bastet and an enemy they had previously fought. However, their meeting is cut short when an assembly of angels arrive - seeking to destroy the pyramid and bury Gungnir forever.

Prince entrusts the task of finishing off Keraunos to Decius, but to their surprise, Keraunos reveals that she cannot be defeated by Gungnir. Keraunos, or rather, her soul, had previously possessed a human girl when she came down from Heaven. Therefore, the form she has taken now is considered "Human" and thus is impervious to Gungnir, a weapon meant to slay "Gods".

Just as the Prince and Decius were about to fall into despair, the goddess Aigis appears! Hooray! She tells the two not to give up and, along with Adamas, brought by the White Emperor, both goddesses increase the potency of Gungnir to finally be able to weaken Keraunos! An all-out battle ensues.

Defeated at last, Keraunos's soul vanishes. The human girl she had previously possessed then thanks the Prince for freeing her. With the pyramid on the verge of collapse from the fighting, Nephty leads Decius, the Prince and his army, out of the pyramid. Nephty recognises the Prince as one worthy of possessing Gungnir and decides to join his army, putting the past conflict with Bastet aside.

(BONUS: Post-Keraunos Defeating Story)

Trudging through the snowy mountains back to the Prince's Kingdom, Decius secretly questions why he is following the Prince and his army back home. He became a Dark Knight, tainted with darkness, all for the sake of power - but now, would he finally choose to walk down the path of light together with the Prince? It sounded unbelievable.

Decius's internal monologue was interrupted just then by the arrival of Shadia, the one who tipped him off about the existence of Gungnir in the first place. Shadia, now officially the Demon King's Bodyguard, had been looking for Decius ever since word of his impressive feat of defeating Keraunos spread. Thanks to Decius, the spell that Keraunos had put on the Demon King, Garius, to limit his power, had been dispelled, and Garius had finally regained his true strength. Shadia then makes Decius an offer - in recognition of his feat, would he join Garius's army?

Anna intervenes and tries to persuade Decius to remain with the Prince's army, but unfortunately, Decius reveals his malicious intentions.

Dialogue
Decius: "Fuhahaha! I'm a Dark Knight, after all...! Idiots, all of you...To think that I could be friends with all of you... Why, Prince, unfortunately for you, being the hindrance you are, I still plan to defeat you!" Anna: "Na-...But, why? Decius...why would you betray us?" Decius: "Betray? Don't misunderstand...I've been using all of you fools from the start! Fuhahaha! Curse my cowardice all you like!" (End) Shadia: "That's enough, Decius. It's time to go." Decius: "Umu, got it." Anna: "Decius...So you're intent on going no matter what...?" Decius: "For the sake of power...I'm not willing to atone for any atrocities that I might have done." Decius: "This body of mine enveloped in darkness...Only the world of darkness is befitting for me." Prince: "......" Anna: "Oh no...just as we thought he'd finally have a change of heart..." Girl-Formerly-Possessed-by-Keraunos: "W-Wait up!" Decius: "-ngh!? You...Weren't you supposed to be sleeping!?" Girl: "I don't really know the details...But, you're the one that saved me. I will always remember you as my benefactor..." Girl: "So...umm...can I at least say a word of thanks?" Decius: "Forget about it. That's my only wish." Girl: "..." Decius: "Farewell, Prince! I'll walk my own path, and you walk yours!"
