Great Road of the Deep Forest (深森の大道) is the sixth optional Story Mission. This is probably most players' first encounter with this particular map layout. Although it looks simple, it can be very challenging to new players due to the difficulty of reaching the middle of the road with ranged units (before they have been class-changed especially). Particularly, the Gargoyles here can be troublesome for that reason. Also notable is the gold reward, which gives this mission the highest gold to charisma-cost ratio of all the story missions (although this doesn't count gold from discharging unit rewards or abilities like Gold Get!).

This map can be pretty tough as you need to strategically place your units in a way that they can heal each other and make a perfect line to block incoming enemies. First place Bashira on the fourth ranged slot on the top from the HQ (spot V), then place Katie on the center Melee position to the left of Bashira (spot I). Then place Phyllis under Katie (spot O). Place the Prince on the upper melee slot to Katie's left (spot B) to catch the Wolf incase Bashira can't kill it in time and to buff all units. Katie's skill should be ready so use it to bring Soma on the opposite side of Bashira (spot BB), then Alissa below Phyllis (spot AA) to keep them alive. Use Phyllis' skill and wait till you have enough UP to place Leeanne above Katie (spot C) and then Iris above her (spot U). Use Bashira's skill to kill the center Gargoyle's and Soma's on the next wave where they appear. |
