Second Awakening (2AW, AW2) is a system that further strengthens a unit after Awakening. AW2 primarily affects the Class Attributes of a unit, though it may also provide stat bonuses. In addition, AW2 raises Lv Cap to 99 for Gold, Platinum, and Sapphire rarity units.

Each class has 2 branches for AW2. Gold, Platinum, and Sapphire units each have a set route. Black units, however, may choose 1 of the 2. In addition, upon AW2-ing a Black unit for the first time, a clean (base class, lv1, lv1 skill, full cost) copy of that unit is sent to the player's gift box.

It is not possible to change the AW2 path for a Black unit after committing. Consider holding onto the provided copy in case you ever want to try a different path.

AW2 may be performed at any time after AW1, at no penalty.

AW2 does not reset a units level.

The costs of AW2 are the same as AW1, save for a different Spirit.

Requirements[]

  • The unit must be Awakened.

Cost[]

  • All units need a Spirit of Perpetual Darkness, Onyx, purchaseable from the Trading Post for 20 Rainbow Crystals, or available as a reward from various events.
  • Either 100k, 200k or 300k gold, depending on if their rarity is Gold, Platinum/Sapphire or Black.
  • 3 class-specific Gold Units or CCed Silver Units.
  • A specific type and amount of Awakening Orbs, gathered in special Daily Missions. The amount needed will vary between 1 for Gold, 2 for Platinum/Sapphire, and 3 for Black rarity and the type depends on the Class. Some classes may require multiple types of orbs.

Approximately one class will receive a Second Awakening every month, though there are exceptions where more may be introduced at once (e.g. Anniversaries).

There are currently 85 classes with second awakening, with 75 to go.
